Our beautifully relaxing Byron Bay yoga and meditation retreat will give you the chance to unwind, enjoy the peace of nature, feel completely nurtured and begin to discover why living mindfully is essential to your wellbeing.

We stay at Sangsurya Retreat, a beautiful ten acre bush retreat just three minutes drive from Byron Bay and its stunning beaches. The property features an open, airy meditation hall, a freshwater swimming pool and dining room that includes outdoor seating with ocean views. Accommodation is in a range of creatively designed, comfortable cabins, each decorated in a unique style. It’s difficult to describe the essence of this property – it’s something you need to experience for yourself but previous participants have described it as ‘magic’ and many continue to return each year.

  • Hatha and Yin  yoga classes

daily schedule:

7.00am: Morning meditation
7.30am: Breakfast, followed by time to prepare for the day
9.30am: 60-minute Hatha yoga class with Meg
10.30am: 90-minute workshop with Kate
12.30pm: A delicious vegetarian lunch
1.30pm - 4.30pm: Free time for walking, swimming, treatments, etc. 
4.30pm: Varied (e.g. Yin yoga, meditation or discussion)
6.30pm: Dinner
7.30pm: Evening relaxation to help you sleep peacefully

who is this retreat for?

Our healthy yoga and meditation retreats are attended by women of all ages. Meditation and yoga sessions are suitable for everyone but in order to get the most from the retreat, we recommend participating in a few yoga classes before attending. If you wish to share accommodation and you’re travelling alone, we will assist you to find a suitable room companion.

Meg works as a yoga and meditation teacher at some of Melbourne's most highly regarded wellness studios. Her yoga classes are nurturing, gentle and introspective with the aim of helping students tune into their bodies and quieten their minds. And her meditation classes focus on using mindfulness techniques to cultivate a deeper sense of patience, acceptance and self-compassion. Meg holds an Advanced Diploma of Teaching from the Australian Yoga Academy.


Kate is a coach and mindfulness teacher who regularly facilitates workshops for corporate and private groups. She is a sought after media expert, quoted in The Age, body+soul, BRW, Marie Claire, Mindfood magazine.
